2 Years On
this blog is 10 years old!
that's just awesome.
it's almost like a mini-bible..hehe
but that's blasphemous.
it'll be like my Book of Deeds probably.
maybe God will just take my blog on judgement day to judge me
and save the trouble of recording Himself.
Speaking of the Book of Deeds.
I got robbed the other day.
wasn't very traumatic,
and i thank God for that.
In fact i shouted so loudly all the neighbours came out to assist.
was pretty cool.
and we were famous for 3 days.
anyway,
was telling HJ "darn that means my face will appear in the robber's book of deeds".
'On this day, you robbed a missionary.'
HJ's reply was,
"and in your book of deeds, you'll gonna see a sanitary pad and
God will say 'remember how you wished that the robber will choke on your sanitary pad"?'
Darn she's wise beyond her years.
no wonder she's the leader here.
don't play play.
I was pretty pissed for about a day.
there are so many things in my bag that are useless to the robber (like my driver's license)
that take so much trouble and money for me to replace you know.
But at some point i think God really convicted me to do a sincere prayer for the robber.
like seriously.
they say it's a blessing to bless a missionary.
and a part of me really believes then that to rob one is not something taken lightly.
For me it's just monetary loss.
everything i lost can be replaced.
even whatsapp.
For the robber though there are probably consequences that are more grave,
and the prayer is really forgiveness and his eventual repentence to God.
hopefully one day we'll meet in heaven and we can joke about the robbery.
"what did you do to my sanitary pads man? no it's not a giant handiplast. i mean, yeah it soaks blood but it's still different"

Through this episode as well
once again i witnessed the calming effect of prayers.
i've tried it several times.
when i can feel my head and heart being filled with negativity.
thoughts and feelings i know aren't pleasing to God.
and then i'll do a sincere prayer.
and ask the Holy Spirit to remove all these thoughts and feelings that are not pleasing to Him.
for this episode I asked God to remove the anger.
and to restore peace in my soul again.
it works.
everytime.
I was questioning God as well as to why He didn't protect me.
After all I was out doing His work you know.
And i've come to understand that as soldiers, we fight wars and there are casualties at times.
I've come to be thankful that it wasn't any worse.
just a minor scratch, metaphorically.
And it may mean that greater things are coming as well.
like my shepherd used to say,
"if Satan isn't bothering you, then you prob aren't doing anything useful for God."
So it's all good.
all is well.
