Three

As clubs weave through the static air,
He listens.
They bounce in glee,
they fly in random.
just like soft thoughts of a troubled mind.

As the world closes in on polymphonic spree,
time stops and Angels sing.

A man stands by to watch.
he hears no rhythm and he sees no sense,
but he understands.
he doesn't know, and yet he does.

Like soft thoughts of a troubled mind,
we are all the same.

Spirituality

~~
Just follow the day
Follow the day and reach for the sun!

You don't see me flyin to the red
One more you're nuts

Just follow the seasons and find the time
Reach for the bright side

You don't see me flyin to the red
One more you're nuts
Just follow the day
Follow the day and reach for the sun!

Just follow the day
Follow the day and reach for the sun!
Just follow the day
Follow the day and reach for the sun!

isn't it great that there's youtube and i can share whatever song i'm hooked on.
My brother was the one who showed me this video while i was downloading juggling videos.
i almost bit his head off because he crashed my downloads.

So it wasn't love at first listen for this song.
but it kind of grows on you.
there's an optimistic church choir-like spiritual feel.
don't they just look like happy little angels.

i'm beginning to think i'm actually a very spiritual person.
not religious, but still very spiritual.
all the juggling, the songs that inspire me, even my work attitude stems from that.
hmm.
i should be a hippie.

---------------------------------

it hasn't been a good week.
lots of work, some very upsetting situations.
i raised my voice at a colleague, something i'm still very ashamed and embarassed about.
(because it turned out that i was wrong).
i apologised to him profusely, until he also paisei.
it's a sort of reminder to me that i've let the stress eat into me and made me into somebody i'm not proud of.
so it was time to take a step back and breathe.

I think by the end of this week most of the shifting pains will be over.

---------------------------------

Stayed back till 1am in the office on friday to get stuff done.
I had all my juggling gear with me for the regular friday sessions so it was quite crappy.

at 11pm i got quite groggy so i started juggling bright orange clubs in the office.
the new office has glass windows everywhere so everyone outside can see me.
i wonder if they thought they were dreaming.

------------------------------------

it seems to be the season for bad news for a lot of pple.
have been getting emails from friends, updating each other on our lives.
I guess these are all growing pains.

i suggested a girls' sleepover night out where we can roll over water fountains and tear up all the pillows in the room.
"to remind ourselves that life is ridiculous and so are we".
i hope it happens. i think it'd be good.

-------------------------------------

have been feeling quite isolated.
too much working the last week has upsetted my work life balance i guess.

so it was nice to have an hour plus chit chat with Jen.
about life and friends of friends of friends. :)
also had short msn chats with MJ and boon.....

and the email updates with other friends......

it's a sort of reminder, that we're still the same, you know?
the pple we know in school, are still around.
and we all have our different pains now,
but we're still here, still us,
and it's not just all about work and being an invisible Dilbert.

I feel quite at peace now.
even though there's a lot of things going on which are upsetting that peace.
but just for tonight, i think, i'm at peace.

i'm looking forward to Japan.
where nothing else matters, except throwing balls in the air.

Swimming in a Sea of chickens

"wat kind of analogy is that?"
"i don't know, it's like, you know, in a sea, many many, chickens. and you're swimming in there."
"what kind of chicken? white or black.."

--------------------------------------------
i've been very uptight the last week.
very, very uptight.

i can just feel the blood pressure rising and an imminent heart attack if this goes on.
you don't eat well, you don't sleep well, you get headaches, you get upset.

it won't go on for long, it's just this period of transition that brings with it incredible stress.
so i know this will pass.
but what an incredible week it has been and what more incredible things to come.

----------------------------------------

i was in a pretty good mood after work yesterday.
with military like planning and much forward-thinking, i managed to reach my deadlines three times faster than i committed.
to do 3 full reports in one week, is way above what i can even imagine.

and then i got news while on the bus that there is basically a lot more red tape and paperwork to be done before i can get the reports approved.
it's not the extra work, it's the extra delay that i know we can ill afford.

it's a bit like,
being a commando and and leading a team to fight a war to be won in a week,
and then after a period of intensity and lots of planning and struggle,
you finally smell victory and the general calls you to tell you you're in the wrong country fighting the wrong war, so can you please take a detour to the next country and fight there thank you.

you can just feel the balloon in you deflating.
and he's the general so you can't really say anything right?

--------------------------------------

i've been given an impossible deadline and i want to meet the deadline as best as i can and that is the reason for all the stress.
and it's always cases like these when Murphy's Law reigns supreme.

some of the incredible things that have happened you wouldn't believe.
you don't even know who to blame because it's just an unfortunate series of events,
in any case i was too busy thinking how to go forward from there then to lamblast the pple who were involved.

it frustrates me that pple don't think ahead and think for the company.
it frustrates me that the company is so departmentalised that we shoot ourselves in the foot and become inefficient because every department looks out for themselves only.
it frustrates me that i can't bring myself not to care.

----------------------------------------

so anyway,
it's been a very unhappy week.

"Pple always take the path of least resistance" - Tony robbins.

remember there is a choice to everything.
there is no such thing as "no choice".

the pain of Path A is too much therefore i take Path B.
but if one day Path B gets too much to bear,
so much that it exceeds Path A,
then Path A is what i take.

it's almost there.

----------------------------------------------------

there's an interesting quote in the papers today.

"delegation is important. They may never do it as well as you do, but it is important. What's more important, is that they know i'm watching. all the time."

-----------------------------------------------------

i've been called a "body" last week.
that's actually quite rude actually but i was simply very amused.

how many times have you heard someone call you a "body".

my boss asked me to attend a meeting for him, and so i did.
they asked who i was representing, so i told them i was representing my boss.
and before i knew it, this guy was calling the manager telling him he wants more than a "body" in the meeting.

"i want more than just a body here ah! you don't just send me a body! next week onwards you send me (so and so..insert name)....."

it'd be so cool if my name was "a body". Last name "with life"

"Hi, i'm a body."
"A body with life"
-----------------------------

there is so much rudeness around that pple don't sense it anymore, i feel.
("a body" doesn't bother me, there's a lot more slamming and screaming than that)
in light of my new found frame of mind, i've been taking it a lot more lightly.
i feel like i'm watching a drama serial now.

you know how sometimes someone can say something so rude that you can't help but instinctively laugh? it's like beyond the realm of getting angry.

they should send the singa lion over.

-------------------------------------

Haven't had time to juggle or do planning much.
darn.
i may even have a new plan now, which will set the thing back again.

it'd be interesting to see if i procastinate on my new plan.
that should show me how much pain i feel on Path B.
Always the path of least resistance right?
