Professional Multi-tasker

things are going seriously crazy now.
multi-task at work, multi-task after work.

and i've given up on any book deal thingy, the juggling thingy or toastmasters thingy.
prep for cambodia is a full time job in itself! (of which i can only work on after work hours somemore)

and i realised,
not only have i not been blogging anymore,
i've also stopped reading the bible.
which of course, is the dumbest thing considering what i'm busy abt.
just call me martha!

Luke 10:38-42
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said.

But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"

"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
-----------------------------------------

for those who are reading the blog though,
don't stop calling or jio-ing me!
there's always time for catching up with friends yes?

of course sometimes you might catch me while i'm deaf in the ears (from olive oil..*don't ask*), wet in the socks (from the morning rain) and all cramped up (from PMS),
as was the case when Jen met up one fine monday after months of not seeing each other,
but it was still a good night was it not?

"Hey let's drive down to east coast. there's a spot for cars to park where you can still see the sea. I go at night when i'm troubled sometimes. And there are so many cars there! so many pple watching the sea!"

"Are you sure they are watching the sea," i asked jen while giving her the look, "are the cars like, you know, shaking......oh ha! are you there to watch the sea or the cars!"

"aiya! the cars are not shaking!"

so many more classic stories especially the one with Mr Pro but she will kill me so no more writing abt that night!
-----------------------------------------------

i had a week of being deaf in the ears,
which makes it very interesting to be in the office.

on one hand i can finally concentrate on my work since i can't hear all the noise of pple talking,
on the other the boss was fairly amused by my sudden deafness.

my colleagues and i were at NTUC one day during lunch hour and the cashier decided to make small talk with us.
at one point she went "yes, everyone is beautiful. as long as you have eyes and ears, you can see and hear, you are beautiful"
which of course is a cue for them to turn to me and go "you can't hear! not beautiful!"

-------------------------------------------------

went to a church bro's wedding dinner yesterday.
i've changed groups so it was nice seeing everyone again.
sometime in the middle of the night, i observed some small acts of kindness they made to each other,
and it dawned on me it can really really be a huge blessing to be in a community of believers.

i walked home last night feeling very blessed and loved. (and sleepy from the red wine..)
not just from the church, but also from my family and friends.

i had a very specific burden for 3 pple during service today.
i think you may know who you are.
i have no answers, but i prayed for you and i know God hears these prayers.

"Today, if you hear His voice,
do not harden your hearts...."

we are blessed so we can bless.
and the more you bless, the more you'll realise how blessed you are.

we leave 21 april.
