Tiring week!
too many things going on...
if i'm not careful i'll fall into hibernation mode again.
CT just msged me abt reading Eat Pray Love,
and i told him abt E.Gilbert's Ted Talk.
Watching it again.
Love it love it love it.
common points for great moving speeches:
-very sincere, very personal, very modest speakers
-a strong emotional conviction conveyed through their voices, language and body gestures
---------------------------------------
Poot came over last sat in yet another spring appointment surprise.
was too lazy to go out the house so made her come over.
I picked her up at the MRT and while walking back a huge thunderstorm came our way.
Poot started squealing all the way back as the lightning flashed.
it was actually pretty scary and Poot certainly didn't help by her fidgeting and squealing.
We made it back to my room without getting struck by a bolt.
"see," i announced after setting up dinner on the table in my room and switching on the air con, "this is just like a restaurant!" (poot rolls eyes)
we chatted the entire night on random things.
some parts resembled a talk show but it was really enjoyable, especially since she was in philosophical mood.
we talked abt the heart sutra, abt how "everything's better than being a christian (ahem)", abt Adam and eve, abt Islam, abt Abraham, abt mother teresa, abt cambodia, abt materialism, abt the moon...
we gotta do it again someday.
a full sleepover.
We used to talk abt compiling a list of all the klutzy things we've done and making it into a book.
we should so do that.
Making a speech on my trials and errors and i definitely got myself into some weird situations.
i should so start practising for my contest tmrw.
