would you believe

-i actually enjoy working. for today at least. and hopefully next few weeks.
-i'm forgo-ing another higher paid job for this one cos i like the working environment of this job. we also did OT today which no one really minded. got rewarded with a cake that the boss bought on friday and has been there since friday. i thought the cream was naturally sour but diarrheoa...diarrhoea...dia....lao sai told me otherwise. apparantly jason ate one piece on friday and he lao sai-ed too. the boss said it was the pizza not her cake, but we all ate the pizza and were fine. hmmm.

it's no biggie. the job not the toilet. it's just temp jobs i'm talking abt so not really a big deal. higher pay is but only a few hundred more.

but it's just nice. to like the work culture. to stay for reasons other than $. that would prove Dilbert and jaded adults wrong. bah!

- i have lost appetite for performing. which is quite amazing when i think of how enthusiastic i was just months ago. was it just a passing phase? are the rats getting to me? gee, what if i had turned pro then, then now suddenly sian liao. scary.

i dun think it's just a phase though. i hope not. i think i'm just weary of these crappy clowny initial shows period. i'm still interested in putting up a very nice show, one which i doubt i will ever have the skill and panache to pull thru. i have the vision of what i want but not the abilities to do it. how tragic. even more tragically, usually every successful performer goes thru crap at first. so i'll have to sit thru my own crap to get to where i want. but the crap, my crap, is making me down man.

maybe it's the rats. dun discount the rats. many kinds of rats. some are $ rats, some are ambition rats, some are pride/status rats, some are power rats. all running around. the amazing race.

- brother's best friend 'char kway teow' (he skipped an A level paper to go eat char kway teow) is now a professional musician. a jazz guitarist i think. works 4 nights a week in a jazz pub and freelances on other days. decent income.

wonder what it's like doing something you like everyday and get paid for it. it's quite unimaginable to do something you like everyday and still like it isn't it. i like juggling but i dun really want to do it everyday, only when i want to. hmm.

if i were to compare with some of my early posts, i think i can see a gradual shift in perspective. oh oh..will the juggleress slowly cease to exist with time?

- darn. 3.30am. 5hrs before i wake. i still have some programming to do.
