The One with the Animal Farm
A few days ago, i saw an article in the newspapers abt rich indonesians buying guns as a status symbol. Some use it for hunting. So on that page was a pic of 2 boys, think 6 and 8 years old, posing beside dead boars with their hunting guns.
and i thought, "if those boars were human, sure got uproar. even if the boys didn't kill them. just posing like that."
here's the question. why is it ok to kill boars and not humans?
i think if we can accept the hunting of boars, we shld accept the hunting of humans. (forget for a moment that we might then be in danger.) if hunting humans is cruel, then so is hunting boars. it isn't that different.
anyway on this fine night darren decides to make me a vegan. (yes, the detox antidote for the supersize me guy) The best thing was that he didn't even preach, he just gave me 2 links and let facts speak for itself. He wasn't even intending to make me vegan, he gave me the links so i know what a vegan is. (he's a vegan).

what a stunner. chicken beak's getting cut, infant pigs getting their ears, tails etc cut, mother pigs kept in cages so small they can't turn and become insane. cow's neck was dislocated. all this before the slaughterhouse.
slaughterhouse. animals' necks slit and left alone. they bleed, they struggle, they die. some are smoked alive. some skinned alive, some cut up alive.
the video is much better than supersize me and bowling for columbine.
i dunno if i can actually turn vegan. (i only eat vegetables so i dun get constipation) maybe i shld watch the video before every meal. sekali i get desensitised.
and tmrw got dim sum lunch!
but really. it looks really bad. i dun know how anyone can work there and see this everyday.
i'll cut down on meat.
